It’s not like the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox really needed any added dramatics to their historic rivalry, but they’re definitely going to get it.

With the Jays’ recent struggles, this very well may be the American League wild card game… But someone has to lose in this series, which could present a problem if Toronto gets hot.

Currently, The Yanks and BoSox sit one game ahead of the Jays, tied for the AL wild card.

So, who wins this series? Both teams are coming off convincing wins… Boston beat the Mets 12-5, and New York handled Texas 7-3.

Kyle Schwarber is coming off a marquee day, where the No. 2 hitter went 3-for-4 with *4* RBIs!You don’t see that too often.

New York didn’t rely on a single individual for their nine-hit outbreak against the Rangers… But Kyle Higashioka and Gio Urshela both had two hits each.

With these two teams so close in both record and talent, it’s going to come down to the pitching matchups.

And to start off the series… it’s a battle of the titans on the mound.

Gerrit Cole and his 231 strikeouts gets the nod for New York… For Boston, it’s Nathan Eovaldi, who hasn’t had a decision added to his record since a loss on August 17.

Today… I’m riding the hot hand on the mound and taking the Bronx Bombers for the win. But bet the under with these two aces on the bump!

Picks

  • Take New York for the win -125
  • Take the under at 9.0 -115
