It certainly wasn’t an ideal start to the season for either of these two teams… both in the context of results, and their player personnel.

Washington not only lost their season opener to the Los Angeles Chargers… they lost their starting quarterback.

Ryan Fitzpatrick injured his hip while being sacked, and had to leave the game. He’s not ready to go today, so Taylor Heinicke will get the ball for Washington.

For New York… they trailed from the start against the Denver Broncos, and showcased glaring issues on both sides of the football.

Denver won the ball possession battle by over 10 minutes… and its offence converted 7 of 15 on third downs and 3 of 3 on fourth downs.

The Giants had Pro Bowl tight end Evan Engram out last week, and he’s slated to miss another contest.

With the spread dropping to -3, it’s a good time to jump on Washington… Heinicke proved to be a formidable backup, going 11-for-15 with a touchdown despite his team’s loss.
