Vincent Lapointe finds SILVER lining in Tokyo

This is a saga with SERIOUS twists and turns! 

Lapointe was already world champion 13-times over when she tested positive for a banned substance. Suspension saw her miss out on crucial olympic trials, only for Covid to shut the sports world down - as soon as her ban had been overturned.

FINALLY making her Olympic debut, Lapointe raced ahead early in the Canoe Sprint - and had to hang on FOR DEAR LIFE  as the pack closed in. BUT Lapointe SOMEHOW found another gear - and eventually stood vindicated and emotional on the podium!
