In the ‘rich people STILL have personal problems’ category, The Crown is killing it this year.

Now in its third season, the Netflix drama has gripped viewers worldwide with its ‘warts and all’ airing of the Royal’s dirty laundry - and next week, two of the show’s lead actors could be ‘crowned’ at the Emmys as well.

Emma Corrin is the bookie’s favourite to scoop Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her role as the young Princess Diana, while co-star Josh O’Connor leads the way in the male category for his uncanny portrayal of Prince Charles’ ears.

In the ‘Americans teach Brits life lessons by accident’ category, Apple TV’s feel-good sports saga Ted Lasso looks odds-on favorite to scoop Outstanding Comedy Series, with leading man Jason Sudeikis also hotly tipped for an award.

Up until now it's been ‘Britain one Sudeikis nil’, after the SNL vet had his girlfriend whisked away from under his nose by the artful dodger himself.

So it’s finger crossed for Sudeikis to settle the score on Monday, with an award for his performance in a show that basically roasts everything that Britain and British culture stands for.

Here are the picks:

  • Take Emma Corrin for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama at -400
  • Take Josh O’Connor for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama at -714
  • Take Ted Lasso for Outstanding Comedy Series at -714
  • And take Jason Sudeikis for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series at -2000
