Despite a moneyline that favoured Jack Campbell and the Maple Leafs at -265 at puck drop, it was two-time Jennings Trophy winner Jonathan Quick that came away victorious on Monday night.

LA had five goals in the contest, but the most painful part for Leafs fans might have been the performances by Trevor Moore and Tobias Bjornfot.

Traded to LA for Jack Campbell, Moore scored his first of the season to open the game against his former team, and Bjornfot who was acquired in the Jake Muzzin deal, finished the night +4.

Muzzin, who has suited up in 149 games as a Maple Leaf, has never been a +4 once.

The Buds turn their attention to a matchup in Philadelphia tomorrow night, where they’ll look for some secondary scoring from players not named Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Tavares.

Their Scotiabank Arena co-tenants are also getting set to fly south, as the Raptors will face a Celtics squad that put up just 83 points against them last month and without Jaylen Brown.

Toronto should be able to use Pascal Siakam more in his second game back from injury and will look to snap a modest two-game skid at TD Garden on Wednesday night.
