Madrid Open: Bianca Andreescu makes her return from injury

Bianca Andreescu was playing some of her best tennis in a while right before her ankle injury at the Miami Open and she’s set to make her clay season debut on Friday at approximately 10:15 a.m. ET on TSN3.

Another Canadian woman in action on Friday (a familiar name): Genie Bouchard! Bouchard not only made it through qualifying, but also won her first round match in Madrid, her first win at this tournament since 2017.

There’s been a lot of discussion about her place in the sport and whether we would still watch Bouchard compete, so it’s been great for her to get a few matches under her belt.

Lots of Madrid Open action throughout the weekend on TSN, DAZN, and TVA Sports!!! Tune in during the morning and midday to watch one of the biggest tournaments on clay ahead of the French Open.
