It’s been a good run for the BoSox in recent days.

Quite a few onlookers have been skeptical of their ability to keep pace with the high-flying Blue Jays.

But they were able to do what the New York Yankees couldn’t: They handled the Baltimore Orioles.

They got good relief pitching from long men in the bullpen like Tanner Houck.

And their crucial bats are catching fire again, with timely hitting from Xander Bogaerts on Saturday and Hunter Renfroeon Sunday, leading to wins they needed to stay in a coveted AL wild card spot.

But when they get going against the Mets tonight, they run into a pitcher with a great track record.

Marcus Stroman has looked like an ace lately, punching out 45 batters in his last 41 innings and a decent WHIP of 1.06.

It’s a much better stat line than Boston starter Eduardo Rodriguez, who has an ERA of 5 and only has one win in September.

Wednesday would be a better time for a Red Sox bet with Chris Sale on the mound.

For today, I like the underdog.
