With 34 strikes finding the back of the net, it was the SECOND HIGHEST-SCORING opening day in EPL history!

Seven of last weekend's ten matches produced three or more goals - with the return of sell-out crowds giving players and teams a much needed post-pandemic boost.

It was business as usual at the top - with big wins for Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool.

And new managers Rafa Benitez and Nuno Gomez also got off to winning starts in front of their NEW (and potentially still undecided) home fans.

There were surprises too, as James Sharman’s champions-elect Man City fell at the first hurdle, losing out to Spurs in a hotly contested game, despite ‘100 million man’ Jack Greaiishgetting his first start.

With Bruno Fernandes racing ahead in the scoring charts - after a hat trick in Utd’s 5-1 home victory against Leeds - the conversation is hotting up about WHICH TEAMS need WHICH STRIKERS this season.

Arsenal fans hoping for a new dawn were treated to an all-too-familiar lacklustre performance in the Gunners’ first game of the season.

And if that wasn't bad enough for Mikel Arteta - the club hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons after the game.

Last weekend all three of our EPL Parlay picks came in - and if you haven't seen it yet check out our latest Parlay - released every Wednesday across all social channels.

This week we’re betting on another three points for Man Utd and Chelsea - and a slip up for Spurs that would see them share the points at Wolves.
