Red Sox clinging to playoff spot in divisional matchup

The Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, and Oakland Athletics are all on the outside of the American League playoff picture looking in, as the Boston Red Sox are currently clinging to the 2nd Wild Card spot. 

Boston gets a chance to strengthen that position on Thursday night, but it won’t be easy, as they play the finale of their 4-game series in Tampa Bay against the division leading Rays. 

With just a two-game lead in the playoff spot with a month to play, the pressure is on Boston to keep their place in line.
