Rays begin World Series revenge quest with ALDS vs Red Sox

October is here, it’s spooky season. With pumpkins, costumes, candy, and best of all: playoff baseball. Let’s go. 

The Wild Card games are behind us and we’re ready to hit the ground running in the MLB Playoffs. In the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays have the World Series on their mind after putting together a 100-win season and winning the East. 

They open their series on Thursday against the Boston Red Sox, who are fresh off of winning the Wild Card Game in convincing fashion over the New York Yankees. 

The season series between these two teams tilted slightly in the favour of Tampa, who went 11-8 across the matchup, but did so only scoring two more runs over the 19 games. 

The Rays recipe is one that just works come playoff time , with frustrating pitching and a million different ways to win, so we’ll give them the nod to take a 1-0 series lead.
