Toronto, ON (Aug 19, 2021) – The Parleh Media Group announced today the acquisition of Toronto’s Homestand Sports – a live event and media production company and the creators of the popular Puck Talks, Hoop Talks, Footy Talks and Pitch Talks events featuring prominent North American athletes and media personalities.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Talk series to The Parleh family and are excited to soon bring back live fan events and watch parties across the country.” said Mark Silver, Founder and CEO, Parleh Media Group. “No one connects with diehard sports fans better than the Homestand team. Adding the Talks brands to The Parleh will help to further bolster our content production and partnerships as we look to further expand our coverage of the bustling sports betting industry.”

With the acquisition, Homestand Sports founder and President Kevin Kennedy has been named President and Executive Producer of Parleh Media Group. Kennedy will oversee all production for The Parleh’s social channels, digital products and distribution partners.

“Nearly 400 live events later, it’s astounding to comprehend the tens of thousands of sports fans that Homestand has touched with our Talks series,” said Kevin Kennedy, Founder of Homestand Sports. “The opportunity to exponentially grow the reach of our content by joining Mark and the team at Parleh Media Group arrived at the perfect time with the forthcoming return to live events. Together, we’re positioned to lead and drive up the quality of sports content and experiences.”

Homestand launched in 2014 with a mission to welcome fans into a tight-knit community of media personalities, athletes and sports executives. Homestand has successful long-term partnerships with Toronto FC, CBC, The Athletic, Cineplex's The Rec Room, Canadian Women and Sport, and more recently, Torstar.
