Sports fans still smarting from England’s devastating loss in the Euro final look to its golfing heroes for comfort – and the end of a 29-year-old drought.

Will it be Paul Casey, who has yet to put a major title on his resume, but has top-10 finishes in his last five major appearances? Or will the Royal St. George’s gallery sing Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy Fleetwood in praise of the runner-up to Shane Lowry at the 2019 Open Championship? Or what about Richard Bland, who captured his first European Tour title at the somewhat-weathered age of 48 in May, and was tied for the lead after the second round of the U.S. Open last month?

Because we’re waving the Union Jack, let’s also look at Ian Poulter and Justin Rose to give a go at an Open Championship crown. But please, please, please, no extra holes. . . . .

Here are the pics:

  • Take Tommy Fleetwood to win at 40 to 1
  • Take a playoff at +350
  • Take Bryson DeChambeau to miss the cut at +275
