The Philadelphia Flyers will look to pick up points in their third consecutive home game on Wednesday night, but will the Boston Bruins spoil the party with an impromptu pasta night at Wells Fargo Center?

Gritty and the Philadelphia Flyers will welcome – well, Gritty might not be overly welcoming – the Boston Bruins to town on Wednesday, and despite giving up four goals in their first two periods of the season, the Flyers have rebounded to collect three of four possible points.

The good news for Alain Vigneault’s squad is that their offene is firing on all cylinders, averaging five goals per game, and they’ve seen impressive contributions from off-season acquisitions Ryan Ellis and Derick Brassard.

Whether or not goaltender Carter Hart will be able to rebound from his pandemic-shortened season remains to be seen, but make no mistake, Philadelphia is establishing that they will be a tough team to beat early in the season.

At the other end of the ice, the Bruins enter the night undefeated with a few key players still looking for their first goals of the young season, including Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak.

Last season, Pastrnak had TWO hat tricks against the Flyers, which paired with the fact that the Bruins have won six consecutive games against Hart, makes you think that scoring won’t be hard to come by in the City of Brotherly Love.

Here are my picks:

·    Goals! Goals! Goals! – I’m taking over 5.5 goals (-115)

· David Pastrnak will continue his success against Hart and the Flyers and score his first of the season – Pastrnak anytime goal at +120
