The Washington Wizards may not have been many people’s pick to the be looking down on the Eastern Conference a month into the NBA season. They made out like bandits in the Russell Westbrook trade with the Lakers, bringing in proven talent to stabilize the roster and provide depth. 

The 10-4 Wiz will have their claim as the toast of the conference on the line in Miami on Thursday, as the Heat are one of four teams within half a game of Washington for that top seed.
