The Dodgers and Giants spent all season battling back and forth for the best record in baseball and bragging rights in the NL West.

After tonight, only one team will be left to advance to the NLCS.

It’s only fitting that jockeying for position all year along atop the MLB standings, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants would have their seasons come down to one game head-to-head to decide which team stays alive in the playoffs. 

NLDS Game 5 goes tonight in San Francisco with a spot in the NLCS against the Atlanta Braves on the line. It has been a classic story over the course of the first four games of the series, with San Francisco winning both of their games in shutouts behind strong pitching, while the Dodgers have bashed their way to their two wins.

Vegas has it as a toss up, so expect a pitcher’s duel tonight in the run-prevention friendly Oracle Park.
