The Connecticut Sun racking up awards, a historic boxing retirement, and more!

Here are five things from sports this week in case you missed it.

To start, Connecticut is now home to the WNBA MVP, MIP, and Coach of the Year.

If you didn’t already know, the Sun are favourites to win it all at +135.

In the NBA world…

Raptors fans may have finally gotten the closure they needed this week as we saw Kyle Lowryin a Miami Heat jersey for the very first time.

And North Side, if it helps with the pain, the Heat are ranked ninth in the championship odds at +2000, so don’t let it bother you too much.

In case you missed it, boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao, announced his retirement Tuesday night.

We all remember his 2015 12-round ― kind of boring, but just my personal opinion ― fight with Floyd Mayweather that smashed revenue records… And probably hurt a couple of your sports betting wallets too.

Next, two Toronto Blue Jays reached a pair of milestones each.

Bo Bichettebroke the Jays single season record for most home runs by a shortstop with 27 and reached 100 RBIs.

Marcus Semien set the league record for most home runs in a season by a second baseman with 44 and also recorded his 100th RBI.

And lastly, Richard Sherman, signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who could make use of his tackling this season.

Sherman said it was a difficult opportunity to pass up after Tom Brady reached out to him.

And that’s it from me.

I’m Tasala, and thanks for checking out The Parleh’s ICYMI.
