My family told me to stop telling Thanksgiving jokes… But I told them I couldn't quit "cold turkey.”

Get it?! You get it.

I like that. That was good.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, here are three things I’m grateful for in sports this week in case you missed it.

Man, I’ve been sooooo grateful for the WNBA playoffs!

The Chicago Sky story has been amazing.

Making it past the elimination rounds.

The .500 team beating the No. 1 seed in the third round.

And the mash potatoes with gravy on top is the hometown girl taking her town to the Finals.

Postseason Parker dropped 17 points, a team-high nine rebounds, seven assists, two blocks, and two steals in the Game 4 victory taking the series away from Connecticut 3-1.

Just wow!

The sports books had the Sky ranked tenth in the championship odds at +2000.

Next.

I am always grateful for an unbeaten record.

The Canadian men keep impressing us as they rallied to tie the game against Mexico 1-1 with a Jonathan Osorio goal Thursday.

This was Canada’s first goal against Mexico at Azteca in 41 years!

That’s 1980!!!

And lastly.

Who isn’t grateful for more sports returning in full swing?

The NHL season is around the corner and with regular season puck drop starting next week, NHL betting talk is well under way.

The Lightning and Knights are the favourites on opening night with a moneyline of -170 and -260 respectively.

And you know what else I’m grateful for?

The Parleh!

So keep it locked right here all day and every day for our Parleh Picks this hockey season.

That’s it from me.

I’m Tasala, and thanks for checking out The Parleh’s ICYMI.
