What’s going on tennis fans? What a 24 hours this is going to be at the US Open for Canadian Tennis. Let’s get to the men’s semifinal on Friday featuring Felix Auger-Aliassime (+500) and World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev (-700). Now Medvedev is the heavy favourite in this match he’s trying to get to his third Grand Slam final. He’s only dropped one set thus far at the US Open. He’s playing on a whole other level.

But don’t sleep on Felix Auger-Aliassime, who’s had an incredible tournament of his own. Of course, that highlight win against Frances Tiafoe. He didn’t have to play a long quarterfinal because of Carlos Alcaraz retiring. So Auger-Aliassime should be fresh heading into his first Grand Slam semifinal.

I still like Daniil Medvedev to win this one. He’s playing on a whole other level. But give me Medvedev in four sets at +230 because I think Felix Auger-Aliassime is going to take a set off the second seed.

Now, moving to the women’s final on Saturday. What a final this is going to be. Two teenagers. 18-year-old qualifier Emma Raducanu taking on 19-year-old Canadian Leylah Fernandez.  Fernandez is trying to become just the second Canadian woman to win the US Open, joining Bianca Andreescu.

I like Fernandez in this one, give me the +130. I think Fernandez, she’s won so many big matches against the world’s best players. And I think she’s going to find a way to exploit Raducanu with her crafty shotmaking.

So, Fernandez is going to win on Saturday in my opinion. It’s going to be a fantastic women’s final at the US Open.
