No bounce in form for Newcastle, no return to form for Man Utd, and the narrowest of one nil victories for Chelsea made it a disappointing one-out-of-three in last week’s EPL Parlay.

The newly minted ‘richest club in the world’ scored inside two minutes to set up a fairytale start to their game against Spurs, but then reverted to business-as-normal in what became a three-two loss on the day.

The scoreline actually flattered the home side - with a late Tottenham own goal giving them way more than they deserved from the game. Especially after Jonjo Shevey was sent off for a second bookable offence late in the second half.

Spurs looked brighter and tighter with Tanguy Ndombele deployed in the number 10 role, and a first EPL goal of the season for ‘want-away’ striker Harry Kane rounded off a morale boosting victory for Nuno’s team.

Man United? Pffff, where to start? The Red Devils desperately needed a win against Leicester but instead showcased all their familiar failings in a truly dismal performance.

Zero connection between defence and attack, individual errors across the length and breadth of the pitch, and anonymous performances from superstars like Ronaldo and Fernandez - means Man Utd are in more and more trouble every week.

Leicester fully deserved the victory in this game - and it was an afternoon to forget for ex-Leicester defender Harry Maguire in particular, who was culpable for two goals on the day.

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea demonstrated their legitimate title-winning credentials in a gutsy performance against in-form Brentford.

A single goal from defender Ben Chilwell was all that separated the two sides - but the real hero of the day was goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who pulled off a string of stunning saves as Brentford pushed relentlessly for an equalizer.

To stay in contention for the Premier League title, top clubs have to win games like this - and Tuchel’s side scored a huge psychological victoryin this game - proving they can dig deep and play ugly when they have to.

Our picks this week feature Newcastle, Man Utd and Leicester again.

We’re picking Crystal Palace to continue their run of good form under new manager Patrick Viera with a victory over Newcastle - at +100.

We’re picking Brentford to be too strong for Leicester, who’ll find it much more difficult against a well organised and highly motivated team - at +175

And we’re picking Liverpool to beat Man Utd at Old Trafford and heap more pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - at +120

Altogether that’s a three team moneyline parlay at +1110.
