They called it ‘El Sack-ico’ and so it proved to be - but perhaps not in the way that many of us expected.

We picked Spurs to beat Man Utd and heap more misery on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but a new formation gave the Red Devils a new lease of life on the day.

A back three featuring Maguire, Varane and Lindelof shored up Man Utd's defense AND freed Luke Shaw and Wan-Bissaka to play more advanced roles - bolstering the midfield in the process.

And with a combined age of 80 - a front two pairing of Ronaldo and Cavani proved experience counts for plenty with both veterans getting on the score sheet.

Spurs were booed on the pitch - and the result proved the final straw for Chairman Daniel Levy - who sacked manager Nuno Espirito Santo early on Monday morning.

Spurs look like they’ve lost the will to win and Harry Kane in particular looks like he’s lost the will to win. Will Levy do whatever it takes to bring in Antonio Conte this time? Either way it's been a Halloween to forget for Tottenham Hotspur.

‘El Sack-ico’ producing an actual sacking was pretty much on the cards, but Crystal Palace beating Man City wasn’t on anyone's radar.

We’d picked a straightforward Man City win - but the tie became anything but straightforward for Pep Guardiola’s men, after an early Wilfred Zaha’s goal was compounded by Aymeric Laporte’s first half red card

Palace have been getting better - and harder to beat - since the start of the season, with new manager Patrick Veira quietly putting his stamp on the team. But this result was still a major upset!

Our third pick backed another clear favorite - and Chelsea showed that no Lukaku equals no problem in a classy 3-nil home win against Newcastle

Chelsea demonstrated their serious strength in depth as wingback Reece James turned on the style to score two sweetly hit goals, while in form captain Jorginho scored his first league goal of the season with another trademark penalty.
