The Manchester derby was pretty much what everyone expected, and we called it right. (Graphic: Man CIty Moneyline at -150 TICK) Another flat and disjointed performance from Man Utd, with a side order of slapstick defending thrown in for good measure - yet again.

Any bounce in confidence from that recent victory over Spurs was well and truly put to bed, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side headed into the international break as confused and directionless as ever.

Man City on the other hand oozed class and looked a cut above their local rivals. With 100million pound man Jack Grealish left on the bench, Pep’s team dominated a truly one-sided affair.

Crystal Palace keep improving under Patrick Viera, and we picked them to beat Wolves at +13.

As a player, Viera was an EPL legend, who dominated midfields and could score goals as well. And as a manager, Viera is instilling those qualities in his Palace side - with Wilfred Zaha, Christian Benteke and Conor Gallagher all raising their game under his stewardship.

Zaha and Gallagher were on the score sheet again today, and the sky is now the limit for a side growing in confidence and belief with every passing week.

A 1-1 draw between Brighton and Newcastle saw us just miss out on our parlay.

With soon-to-be-announced new manager Eddie Howe sitting alongside new owner Amanda Stavely in the stands, Newcastle were very close to taking all three points against Brighton.

Graham Potter’s side dominated the game for long spells and went ahead through a Leandro Trossard penalty. But Newcastle clawed their way back into the game through Isaac Hayden’s equalizer

Late in the match, Callun Wilson was racing clear on an open goal - only for Brighton keeper Robert Sanchez to take the Red card - and take one point home for the Seagulls.

So it was two for three in our parlay last week - let’s see if we can do better with three picks from this week’s World Cup qualifiers.

Take Bruno Fernandez and Cristiano Ronaldo to get back to winning ways, with a Portuguese win over the Republic of Ireland in Group A (-300).

Take Spain to beat Greece in Group B (-223).

And take Italy to beat Switzerland in Group C (-163)

For a +212 three-team money line parlay.
