Desperation may be setting in for the reigning Canadian men’s champion at Canada’s Olympic Curling Trials.

Brendan Bottcher’s rink finally reached the summit of Canadian curling this year, breaking a string of three straight silver medal finishes at the Brier to finally capture gold in Calgary in the 2021 event.

It hasn’t been the same story of success so far in the Tim Horton’s Curling Trials in Saskatoon, as a rocky 0-3 start has the Alberta team staring down some a must-win set of matches heading into Thursday.

Standing in the way first is Mike McEwen and his 2-0 Winnipeg side. They are off to a great start and looking to bring the hammer down to keep pace with the top teams on the leaderboard.

We’re going to take Bottcher’s rink to right the ship in this one, grab the Alberta crew to win outright -125.
