Crucial World Series Game 3 should be anybody’s ballgame

Good pitching is supposed to beat good hitting, but so far the World Series has been all about the bats

Offense has been the story through two games of the World Series so far. Both teams have taken turns rocking the opponent’s starter, with Atlanta putting up 6 in Game one, and the Astros responded with a 7 spot in Game 2.

It could very well be more of the same on Friday in Game 3, as two rookies are slated to go head-to-head on the hill for just the 8th time in World Series history. That’ll make the bullpens very important for both teams in this one, and it’ll be a scratch-and-claw battle, as the winner Game 3 has gone on to become World Series champions 65% of the time teams enter tied 1-1. 

This one is an absolute tossup, as you’d expect. We’ll give the edge to the Astros to win on the road -110, and let’s give one to the pitching staffs, take the under 8.5 runs -110 as well.
