Chelsea Women to power into the UCL semi-final?
Chelsea Women vs. Lyon Women @ 3 p.m. ET DAZN
In the second leg of their Women's Champions League quarter-final matchup Chelsea will go up against reigning champions Lyon tonight.
Emma Hayes's side have a narrow 1-0 lead from the first leg, but they come into tonight’s tie on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
That loss saw Chelsea drop to third in the WSL table, and the west London side will hope to bounce back tonight with a big performance in the Champion’s league.
The French side arrive at Stamford Bridge having thrashed Guingamp 6-0 in their last outing leaving Sonia Bompastor's side just a single point behind league leaders PSG.
Lyon have lifted the Champions League trophy eight times, making them the most decorated side in the competition’s history.
But Chelsea have a perfect home record this season with 12 straight wins in front of their home fans, and they’ve progressed on all three of their previous UCL quarter-finals.
Lyon beat Arsenal when they last visited London in the group stage, but we think Chelsea will do enough to protect their slender lead tonight.

Ekaterina Alexandrova vs. Petra Kvitova @ 2 p.m. ET Tennis Channel, TVA Sports, TSN1
Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova has had a great month at the Sunshine Double. And the current World No.12 will hope to book a place in her first ever Miami Open semi-final this afternoon.
Having made it to the last 16 at Indian Wells early in March, Kvitova also booked back-to-back quarter-finals at these two competitions for the first time.
But standing in her way is 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, who also just happens to be enjoying one of her best showings at a WTA 1000 event.
Alexandrova arrives in the quarter-final after a 5th round walkover against Canada’s Bianca Andreescu.
But even though that match ended prematurely, Alexandrova was in full control and already 7-6 0-2 up when Andreescu suffered ligament damage after a fall.
In their one prior meeting Kvitova came out on top and the Czech 33 year old comes into this afternoon’s clash as the strong favourite.
At the Australian Open, though, that was when Kvitova was still a dangerous Top 10 player. She seemed to have lost a step last year but in 2023 has found her way back to playing elite tennis.
Alexandrova racked up an impressive win against World No. 9 Belinda Bencic in the third round, but we think Kvitova will do enough to book a first ever semi-final place today.
