Chelsea Women face Barca in the Champions League semi-final
Barcelona vs. Chelsea UCL Semi-Final: Thursday 12:45 p.m. ET DAZN
They haven’t lost at home in this competition for over five years, and Barcelona Women will feel confident over securing a third consecutive Champions League final spot when the Catalan giants welcome Chelsea tomorrow.
Caroline Graham Hansen’s fourth minute strike at Stamford Bridge means Barca come into this game with a slight advantage, leaving Chelsea with significant ground to make up at one of the most challenging stadiums in world football.
Jonatan Giráldez’s side have won each of their four UCL home games this season by an aggregate scoreline of 23-1 (!!), but two factors will give Chelsea hope of turning the tide in Spain today.
The first is their away form, with the WSL champions already having racked up important victories on the road in the knockout rounds, including a 1-0 victory over the reigning European champions Lyon in France in the last round.
The second is the 4-0 win Chelsea produced against Barca in the UCL semi-final back in the 2020/21 season.
With Barca just a single goal ahead we like the upset here too, and we’re backing the West London side to write a new page in their history at the Camp Nou tomorrow night.
