So the game I’m looking at is Team Homan vs. Team Walker in the afternoon session. Rachel Homan won the last Canadian Curling Trials in 2017, representing Team Canada at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. However, she comes into this game with a 1-3 record needing to win the remainder of her games to get into the top three of the round robin standings.

Meanwhile, Team Walkerenters this game after back to back losses. One of those was to 2014 Olympic gold medallist Jennifer Jones in extra ends. The other was to reigning Canadian champion Kerri Einarson.

The last time Walker and Homan squared off was at the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, which Homan won 6-5. As a team Homan is at 80 percent all throw-throughs while Walker is at 77%.

It’s going to be close but I like Homan to squeak this out, keeping her hopes alive to get to the elimination round.

So my best bet of the day, Team Homan to lay the hammer down on Team Walker at -263.
