Big guns kick off in Tokyo
On paper France are clear favorites over Mexico - but Les Bleus have had a difficult build up to the tournament, with several clubs refusing to release players for the Olympics.
Mexico have a much more settled squad, having already played eight games so far this year, but they’re rusty in defence and give away goals - meaning this could end up a high scoring game.
After claiming the gold medal in Rio five years ago, Brazil are out to dominate the tournament again - boasting a wealth of top European experience from the likes of Dani Alves, Douglas Luiz, and Richarlison.
And that could prove too much for a German side who, despite being strong in attack, are seriously short on game time in the run up to Tokyo, and an opening Group D clash against the inform Brazilians.
