It’s Semifinal Saturday at the Canadian Curling Olympic Trials in Saskatoon.

Teams will compete for a chance to take on the qualified finalists, with a spot in the Beijing Olympics on the line.

Here is my bet for Day 8 of the Canadian Curling Olympic Trials.

The headline game is the Men’s Semifinal, featuring Team Jacobs taking on Team Koe.

It was eight years ago when Brad Jacobs won the Canadian Curling Trials, en route to winning the gold medal at the Sochi 2014 Olympics.

Kevin Koe is a two-time world champion who won the last Canadian Curling Trials, representing Team Canada at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.

Jacobs enters this game with a 7-1 record while Koe is 6-2.

The two squared off in the round-robin with Jacobs defeating Koe 8-2.

It was a dominating performance for Jacobs, who curled at a 97 percent rate in that game.

For the week, Team Jacobs is at 92 percent while Team Koe is at 90 percent.

While it’s easy to look at the round robin performance as an indicator, rememberer that Koe’s Calgary team defeated Jacobs at the Western Showdown in October 8-1.

This semifinal promises to be an epic game between two veteran teams.

But I like Team Jacobs to squeak out the victory, setting up a stellar final against Team Gushue.

So give me Team Jacobs as the outright winner currently betting at -115.
