Can the Hawks handle a rested KD and the East-leading Nets? I’m Eric Rosales and this is NBA Friday Shootaround.

Since ripping off 7 straight wins, Trae Young and the Hawks are just 2-3 in their last five.

They’re pretty banged up, especially along the wings, and that’s not a good sign as they try to handle NBA scoring leader Kevin Durant, who took a rest day as the Nets lost to the Rockets.

Atlanta’s just 5-11 against teams with winning records while Brooklyn has not lost back-to-back games all year.

Take the Nets on the moneyline.

Health and safety protocols have hit the Hornets hard, and they’ll be down three starters, including LaMelo Ball, again Friday against the Kings.

Sacramento is on a three-game win streak for the first time all season, and putting up big scoring numbers, while Charlotte has the second-worst scoring defense in basketball, and it’s gotten worse since they lost their key guys.

Let’s ride the hot hand and take the Kings on the road to cover.

That’s it for me. Good luck, and we’ll catch you next week on NBA Friday Shootaround.
