As we speak, the Red Sox and Yankees are scouring every piece of scouting data out there… but when they hit the field, all bets are off!

I’m kidding. The bets are most certainly not off.

And that’s why we’re here!

Who wins the AL wild card between these two storied rivals?

If you were to look at the recent season series… It was TIGHT!

Boston won the season series 10-9.

In a close contest, you often need your stars to come in clutch. Just like they did on the last day of the regular season for both these teams.

Aaron Judge drove home the winning run with a one-out single in the ninth inning of the Yankees' 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Red Sox slugger Rafael Devers' two-run homer in the ninth inning broke a 5-5 tie against the Nationals in Washington.

The Yanks have the right man on the mound in Gerrit Cole.

Nathan Eovaldi gets the nod for Boston… e put up a career-high 195 strikeouts over his 32 starts this year… Which could serve him well against the swing-happy New York offence.

He’s 2-2 against the Yanks this year, but his last two outings have resulted in those two losses.

While the Yanks are the favourites… Boston has home field, the season series win, and good value.

Here is my pick:

  • Take Boston for the win +110
