It’s the Vancouver Canucks first trip to the USA in over a year – and it gives them a decent chance to win their first game of this young season.

It’s put-up or shut-up time for the Philadelphia Flyers this year!

After winning the Metro division in 2020, they missed the playoffs last year in one of the most disappointing results in recent memory.

Carter Hart had an off-year, and coach Alain Vigneault had to re-evaluate his approach with lots of struggling players.

In a pressure-cooker market like Philadelphia, tonight’s contest will set a narrative.

The Canucks, on the other hand, displayed signs of life in their first game of the season.

Despite losing to the Oilers in the shootout, Vancouver clawed back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored his first as a Canuck, and Quinn Hughes knotted things up.

That’s right… both goals came from defensemen!

That same Canucks defence corps held Connor McDavidoff the scoreboard … he has zero goals in his first game.

Edmonton was nearly a division last year … and the Canucks were right there with them.

On top of that, they present good value as underdogs.

That’s who I’m taking tonight!
