Beth Shriever had cruised through the women’s BMX racing heats, winning comfortably and way ahead of the pack.

BUT the final was a SUPER TIGHT affair - with Shriever having to DIG DEEP to hold off Mariana Pajón of Colombia on the final stretch - taking Gold by a margin of only 0.09 seconds!

And making an SUPER IMPRESSIVE olympic debut, Kye Whyte scooped silver in the men’s event - rounding off a MASSIVE COUP for British Cycling.

But BMX is a BRUTAL! American Connor Fields was taken to hospital unconscious after landing heavily in the men’s semi-finals, and Australia’s Saya Sakakibara was distraught after crashing in the women’s semis.

From the track to the tennis court - Markéta Vondroušová will be hoping to build on her defeat of Naomi Osaka earlier this week, to claim gold in tomorrow's final against Belinda Bencic. And that’s my pick with Vondroušová on the moneyline at -138.
